Berry dutch baby

I don't know why they call this dish a Dutch Baby. I'd like to imagine a legendary history involving a young baking prodigy in early Amsterdam.

To make this extravagant pancake, I mixed together some flour, sugar milk vanilla and eggs and threw it in a hot cast iron skillet to cook in the oven for 20 minutes. Backyard blueberries + grocery store raspberries take it from boring to bougie.

Okay, so what do my little cousin, a young Van Gogh, and this dish have in common? They are all Dutch Babies (ba dum tss)

INGREDIENTS

1/2 cup all purpose flour

1/2 tsp baking powder

1 tbsp sugar

1/2 tsp salt

1/2 cup milk

3 eggs

2 tbsp melted butter

1 tbsp vanilla extract

~2tbsp confectioners sugar

1/2 cup mixed berries

DIRECTIONS

Preheat over to 400F. Place your cast iron skillet in the oven as it warms up

Mix all ingredients in a large bowl

When all ingredients are well incorporated, remove skillet from the oven and immediately pour batter mixture into the skillet

Place skillet back in the oven and allow to cook for 20-25 minutes

Remove from oven, and top with confectioner's sugar and berries
